Assistant storemanager

Job description

Main responsibilities:

1. Responsibilities 50%

  • Substitute the storemanager in his absence
  • Translating the (sales) targets / KPI’s in an operational action plan for their own store
  • Realizing the net sales budget and other KPI’s, such as conversion and UPT
  • Ensure proper implementation of policies and procedures valid within the organization (f.e. safe, cash register, inventory) and the administrative handling of these procedures
  • Preparing commercial analyses for their own store
  • Realizing and taking care of visual merchandising in accordance with guidelines VM and seeing opportunities
  • In the absence of the storemanager manage and motivate a team
  • Shared responsibility in ensuring qualitative and quantitative staffing

2. Coaching & training 50%

  • Shared responsibility in coaching and developing new employees
  • Train and coach employees in the areas of: sales, product knowledge, service
  • Inform and inspire employees on commercial objectives, organization, collection and strategy
  • In absence of the storemanager advise employees through team meetings, performance meeting, one on one meetings

Job requirements


  • High school education or higher
  • Minimum of 2 till 3 years working experience in for example the role of assistant storemanager, assistant floor manager or team leader
  • Experience in Retail and/or Fashion
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal
